Whitecaps FC National Soccer Development Centre (May 2017)
At the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Netex designed and installed a 30-foot high barrier net for the Vancouver Whitecaps MLS training facility to protect their new three-storey, 38,000 sq-ft, state-of-the-art field house.
Our advanced engineered steel poles and ultra-strong, lightweight Dyneema® netting paid off for the client. We were able to use eight netting support poles over a distance of 440 feet, where our competitor would have required 26 poles over the same distance. The reduced number of netting support poles saved the clients money, while the wide spans between poles preserved the views from (and protected) the centre’s upper wall of glass windows.
